HARTFORD Two men have been arrested in connection with a double-shooting on Bedford Street in which one of the suspects was accidentally shot multiple times, police said.

Police believe that Kevan Simmons, 21, accidentally shot his accomplice in the March 28 shooting, 22-year-old George Harris.

Harris and the other shooting victim were treated at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Simmons was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He is also a person of interest in another shooting in Hartford recently, police said.

Harris was charged with hindering prosecution.

Anyone with information about Kevan Simmons is asked to call Lt. Brian Foley at 860-757-4463 or Crime Stoppers at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
