Several months ago, community leaders of other charity rides got together and thought there was a need for a motorcycle tribute ride to remember the lives lost on December 14th at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Sunday was that day as thousands came out to ride and show an outpouring of support for Newtown families.

Motorcycles from across the country made their way through town as the crowd cheered and watched as usually perceived rough-edged bikers showed a softer side.

“I got chills, it was so emotional, it was just very, very powerful” one spectator said.

The ride went from Shelton into Sandy Hook and eventually ended at Trumbull Westfield Mall. Bikers rode through a crowd wearing green, waving and blowing kisses.
