The investigation continued Tuesday night, one week after a 2-year-old boy was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash on Capitol Avenue in Bridgeport.
Police were back in the area, hoping drivers could help them catch the person responsible. Officers canvassed the area and passed out flyers, hoping someone knows who was behind the wheel that night.
Two-year-old Corey Gordon is still in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He suffered severe head injuries when a car came by and struck him when he was standing next to his mother around 9 p.m. on April 30.
“We’ve solved cases in the past by going back, talking to people and getting little scraps of information that people may have thought were insignificant at the time that became more significant later on,” said Bridgeport Police Chief Joseph Gaudette. “So here we are a week later, hoping that we get that little shred of evidence that’s going to help us solve this case.”
Police are asking anyone with information to call (203) 576-8126.
