Noel Sardalla is a University of New Haven student and artist. He created an art exhibit called “I Am Here” for cancer patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. David Vinas, director of operations at the hospital, joins Noel on the Morning Extra to talk about the inspiring art.

Noel works in the Communications and Public Affairs office at the University of New Haven. He is also working on an undergraduate degree in graphic design. The first flower project “Here, There, Everywhere” was done because he was selected by the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven to be the “Artist of 2011.”  That exhibit was seen by a person from Smilow who asked him to do a project with patients, which led to the Smilow Project  “I Am Here”.
