AVON — A New York man was arrested Monday on charges that he made threatening phone calls to a state official related to the investigation of the Sandy Hook shooting.
Jonathan Reich, 22, of Flushing, N.Y., faces charges of second-degree harassment.
Avon police were notified about the threatening calls on Feb. 1, according to a release from Avon police.
Police learned that calls had been made to another state official and to families involved in the Sandy Hook shooting.
Reich was held with bail set at $50,000.
