After a one-year hiatus, former Rock Cats president and CEO Bill Dowling as back at the helm of New Britain’s minor league baseball team.
Dowling was co-owner and CEO of the Rock Cats for 12 years. A year ago he sold the team and stayed on as a consultant, but now he’ll be back involved with the day-to-day operation of the team.
“I was there, I was in the office three or four days a week, so they prevailed upon me to come back,” he said. “It’s a little tough to pick it up six weeks into the season, but it’s like riding a bike, you get back at it again.”
One big project Dowling has been dealing with is the 2013 Eastern League All-Star Game, which will be played on July 10.
