Ambulances were running from the Comcast Theatre to five local hospitals Friday night with concert-goers suffering from alcohol-related ailments, a hospital spokesperson said.

As of about 9:30 p.m., 25 people had been taken to either St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Hospital or Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, said Tina Varona, spokesperson for St. Francis.

Additional patients would be taken to hospitals in Manchester and New Britain, she said.

About 7 people were being treated in the emergency room at Hartford Hospital at 9 p.m., said hospital spokesperson Rebecca Stewart. She said the night is certainly not the worst the hospital has seen, as some concert nights the emergency room will see upwards of 20 people.
