Day three of a heat wave continues today as temperatures will once again reach the low 90s with an air quality alert for high levels of ozone through most of the state except for Litchfield County. A cold front will approach the area Monday night with showers and thunderstorms.  Some storms could become strong to severe across parts of Connecticut.

Today:  Mostly sunny, hot and humid.  High: 88-93. Wind: SSW 10-25 mph. Sunset: 8:20

Tonight: Partly cloudy, mild and muggy, patchy fog.  Low: 60s.

Sunday: Partly sunny, breezy warm and humid, chance for late day showers and thunderstorms. High: 80s

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms, some of which could become strong to severe. Low: 60s.

Monday: A period of rain during the morning, late day clearing, much cooler with highs in the 70s.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Mostly sunny, dry and pleasant with highs in the 70s, low in the 50s.
