Hartford Police Prepared For Heavy Concert Traffic

HARTFORD – Hartford police are stepping up traffic control for the anticipated flood of Dave Matthews fans expected to attend his concert at the Comcast Theatre on Friday and Saturday.

Officers with the traffic division will man the Exit 33 off ramp of I-91 and all the arteries leading to the venue, starting at about 4 p.m. police said.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Heavy traffic is expected on I-91 North and South as more than 20,000 concertgoers arrive for the concert, police said.
