NAUGATUCK – A driver was killed in a single car-crash on New Haven Road early Tuesday morning, police said.
Police said the driver was traveling southbound on New Haven Road, also known as Route 63 when the vehicle struck a utility pole.
Route 63 is closed between Warren Avenue and Osborn Road and is expected to remain closed for several hours impacting the morning commute, police said.
No one else was hurt in the crash and the accident is being investigated by the Central Naugatuck Valley Regional Accident Reconstruction Unit, police said.
The name of the driver is being withheld at this time.
