HARTFORD – Police responded to two separate non-fatal shootings early Sunday morning.

Police responded to the first shooting on Garden Street at about 2:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a gunshot victim at St. Francis Hospital.

The victim told police that he was standing in the driveway at 504 Garden St. when he heard several shots fired and realized he had been shot in the thigh, according to police. The victim was transported to the hospital by a friend.

Police said the victim suffered from a serious, but non-life threatening injury to the lower left thigh.

Police found no evidence at the scene, but said that the ShotSpotter system confirmed that there were four shots fired.

Police responded to the second shooting at about 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Seyms and Main streets after receiving a call that eight shots were fired. Police said shortly after Hartford Hospital reported a walk-in gunshot victim.

Police said they found a coolant trail at the scene. The coolant trail led to a house at 160 New Britain Ave., police said. The victim was taken by his girlfriend from 160 New Britain Ave. to the hospital, police said.

The victim received two non-life threatening shots, one to the shoulder and another grazing his face, police said.

Police said the victim was non-cooperative.

Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes division is investigating both shootings.
