CANTON — A woman’s body was recovered from the Farmington River near Town Bridge Road Saturday morning, police said.

A woman walking her dog reported seeing the body near the bridge on Town Bridge Road, about one mile upstream from the Collinsville Dam, around 9:30 a.m. The body was recovered and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, police said.

The body was found three miles downstream from where Rachel Greene, 33, of New Hartford, was reported missing last Saturday. Greene fell out of a raft while on the river in the early morning hours. Three men she was with all made it out of the water safely, police said.
