NEW HAVEN – Firefighters and the Coast Guard responded to a fire on a ship at the Gulf Oil terminal early Tuesday.
Nobody was hurt in the fire and there were no leaks on the ship.
The Coast Guard said the fire was a “stack fire” in the exhaust pipes on the top of the boat, likely caused by soot build up.
The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. and was mostly out by 5:15 a.m.
