Talk about a stubborn pattern! The last few days have brought warm and humid air, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms. The next few days will be very similar. It’s all due to what’s called an “atmospheric river” of moisture, which is when a constant stream of tropical air is fed into our area by the jet stream.
Monday we’ll expect some more widespread heavy rain during the day, with highs in the 80s.
For Tuesday and Wednesday we’ll keep that humidity around, and those temperatures will be right around average for this time of year in the lower 80s.
It appears we’ll warm up for the end of the week, with Independence Day and Friday looking to be around 90 degrees. We’ll still have that chance for a shower for a few towns during the afternoon.
