WATERBURY — A New York man wanted in connection with a murder in his home state was apprehended at a house on Sumac Street early Friday, police said.

Frederick Wade, 39, was taken into custody at 61 Sumac St. on a warrant for being a fugitive from justice, police said.

Wade was arrested without incident around 8 a.m., police said. He is being held by Waterbury police until he can be extradited to New York.

Police were not certain what the charges against Wade are in New York, but said that they are “murder-related.”

Wade may have come to Connecticut to stay with an acquaintance, police said.
