NORTH STONINGTON — The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Environmental Conservation Police are investigating a boating accident Saturday in which an 11-year-old girl was run over a boat.
DEEP said the girl was ejected from the boat around her uncle was operating on Lake Wyassup around 12:45 p.m. She suffered from head injuries after being run over by the boat.
She was transported to Backus Hospital and is now being treated at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, according to DEEP. Her condition was not available.
