Denise Davis and Sonja Matchen visited the Fox CT Morning Extra to talk about how bodybuilding transformed their lives and how they got into their current shape.
Denise, 52, has won a total of six “pro cards” in bodybuilding after training for a little more than a year. In 2007, she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid, frequently causing it to enlarge to twice its size or more. She had no muscle tone in her body and could not do any physical activity. Her determination and training led to her overcoming the disease.
Sonja, 51, lost 107 pounds in nine months during 2012 and won six fist place trophies in her first bikini competition.
Kelvin Moore, owner of Transformed, helped the two women train. A former Marine, he has been involved in bodybuilding and training for many years. To learn more about Moore’s business and the people he has helped transform, visit www.transformed4lyfe.com.
