This weekend Avon will be taken over with runners, racers and cyclists and more than a few Ferraris. It’s the annual ERRACE event (Everyone Run/Ride Against Cancer Every Day) and this is the first year that the event will take place without its executive director, Allyson Caputo, who died in October after a long fight with cancer.
Dr. Andrew Caputo , Allyson’s wife and co-founder of the event, talked with Fox CT’s Erika Arias about this year’s race. The money raised goes to the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital and the Livestrong Foundation.
The event will be held on Saturday at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center on Fisher Drive in Avon. Race registration begins at 6 a.m.
