On Wednesday a tornado touched down in Andover, Coventry and Mansfield with winds up to 90 miles an hour. A microburst (straight line winds) caused additional storm damage in Tolland. You can read the full National Weather Service report here. If that wasn’t enough, lightning split a tree in Bridgeport on Thursday and caused two house fires in Middletown. The weather will be much calmer over the coming days (that’s not too hard to accomplish). We’ll even get some relief from the tropical humidity. Although a spotty shower is possible, no big storms!
