On July 30, a golf outing at Indian Hills Country Club in Newington will raise money for domestic violence prevention programs sponsored by the Community Renewal Team and Interval House.

State Rep. Mae Flexer and Garvin G. Ambrose, the state victim advocate, will lead this year’s tournament. Last year’s tournament raised $28,000.

The proceeds will help programs that benefit women leaving relationships in which they have experienced domestic violence. Interval House has locations in Hartford, Manchester and Simsbury and provides a place for women who are seeking to escape an abusive relationship. Since 1977, Interval House has helped more than 171,000 victims of domestic violence.
