NEW BRITAIN — A 22-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly attempting to rob someone at knifepoint.
Henry Rodriguez was charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery, breach of peace, interfering, second-degree threatening and possession of a dangerous weapon.
A witness called police at 5 a.m. to report that a man with a knife, later identified as Rodriguez, was chasing another man down Martin Luther King Drive.
A police officer and a sergeant responded and took Rodriguez into custody after a brief foot chase. The knife, which Rodriguez tossed during the chase, was recovered.
