MIDDLETOWN — The body of a male was pulled from the Connecticut River near 2 River Road Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Two fishermen discovered the body as they were fishing on a boat between Wilcox Island and the Middletown shoreline. The Middletown Police Marine Unit and city firefighters responded to the area, north of the Arrigoni Bridge, around 3 p.m.
Police declined to identify the victim because his family has not yet been notified. An investigation into the death is ongoing.
