STERLING – Early Thursday morning, firefighters from several area towns responded to a fire that broke out at ReEnergy; a tire recycling plant on Exter Drive.
Fire dispatchers said no one was injured and no evacuations were necessary.
It’s not clear how much damage was caused by the fire or what may have sparked it.
According to the ReEnergy Holdings website, the plant converts discarded tires into electricity.
