High pressure stretching from the Great Lakes to the mid-Atlantic Coast will continue to influence of our weather with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable temperatures through the weekend.

Meanwhile, low pressure located across the southeast will slowly meander north-northeast during the next couple of days with clouds and showers.  Some clouds may fade some of that sunshine on Sunday into Monday.  However, the rainfall should stay off-shore as high pressure will shunt the rain out to sea.

Instead, high pressure will continue to dominate our weather through next week with more sunshine and warmer temperatures.  The clockwise circulation around high pressure will induce a gradual warning trend with a southwest wind that will transport a warmer, more humid air-mass by the middle and end of next week, typical of lazy, hazy, days of August.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Erin out in the Atlantic will continue to track to the WNW during the next day or two and then turn to the north and weaken.  At this point, it poses no threat to our region or anywhere across the east coast.
