Hundreds gathered in New Haven for the joint funeral service of Sade Brantley, 13 and Madisyn Mitchell, 1. The sisters died Friday August 9th after a plane crashed into their East Haven home.
“They were great,” said Quincy O’Neal, the girls’ older brother. “I couldn’t have wished for better little sisters.”
Joann Mitchell was the mother of Sade and Madisyn. At Friday’s funeral she was surrounded by family members, supporters and first responders.
Pastor Robert L. Middleton, an uncle of Sade and Madisyn, delivered the eulogy. “Last Friday our life literally changed,” Middleton preached. “Our life flipped upside down and inside out, but I want you to know that were still here.”
