Quick Nutritious Meals For Parents On The Go

Chef Jeff Trombetta, an instructor at the University of New Haven, visited the Fox CT kitchen to show you how to prepare healthy and nutritious meals on a tight schedule if you’re a busy parent.

Here are some tips from Trombetta:

  • Avoid the drive-thru
  • Eat as a family
  • You cook and your kids clean
  • Recycle your pans so you don’t dirty too many dishes
  • Stick to fresh vegetables
  • Try eating natural starches and top your baked potato with vegetables and seasoning not butter and sour cream
  • If you have to use a sweetener with fruit, try natural syrups or a small piece of chocolate
