There are major new developments in the investigation into a deadly shooting outside a Hartford nightclub last week. Police have arrested the suspected killer, 25-year-old Angle Morales. Morales is charged with shooting 21-year-old Miguel Delgado Friday after an argument inside “Up Or On the Rocks”, reportedly over a spilled drink.
Delgado’s family and friends gathered for a vigil Tuesday in a parking lot across the street from the club.
At the vigil Delgado’s mother met the mother of 19-year-old Brian Simpe of Manchester, who was shot and killed after a fight at the same club on August 4th.
Since the second shooting the club has remained closed. The owner met with police Tuesday. If it re-opens, the chief will enforce a rarely-used city ordinance requiring the owner to hire police officers and keep them inside the club during certain hours.
