Captain Johnathan Hillstrand (F/V Time Bandit) from Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch,” will meet and greet attendees and fans at the 2013 Norwalk Boat Show.
Hillstrand was born and raised in Homer, Alaska, and is a third generation fisherman. He’s the captain of the F/V Time Bandit during king crab season and has been on commercial fishing vessels since the age of three. He began fishing at the age of seven and moved into commercial fishing for crab at age 17.
When he’s not on the boat, Captain Johnathan is involved in the operation of the Hillstrand’s other businesses including Time Bandit Fireworks, Time Bandit Spirits, Time Bandit Entertainment, Time Bandit Productions, and The Time Bandit Gear Store.
The annual boat show offers a one-stop shopping destination for visitors to see and shop the newest boats and marine accessories, brush up on boating education, enjoy the boating lifestyle first-hand through on-the-water adventures and discover why life is better with a boat. The event runs now through Sunday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Norwalk Cove Marina, 48 Calf Pasture Beach Rd., in Norwalk.
