Police Investigating Torrington Robbery

TORRINGTON — Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday morning at AC’s Eatery on South Main Street.

Police said they received reports of an armed robbery at AC’s Eatery around 5:30 a.m. Police said the suspect entered the restaurant before there were any patrons present. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employees and asked for money.

Police said an employee gave the suspect money. The suspect then left the restaurant and headed to the corner of Park Avenue and Palmer Bridge Street. Police said the suspect got into an older, midsized pickup.

Police said no one was injured and no shots were fired by the suspect.

The suspect is described as a female, about 5-foot-6. She was wearing dark gloves with a hood covering her head and a red bandana covering her face, police said.
