Police have arrested a Danbury man in connection with the death of a baby boy. 25-year-old Christian Williams is charged with manslaughter and risk of injury to a minor.
On Sunday night, police responded to 16 Housman street for a report of an unresponsive child. The child, 19-month-old Ayden Baskay, was transported to Danbury Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During their investigation, police found that the baby suffered extensive abusive head trauma and other bodily injuries. They say Williams, who was babysitting the child at the time, is responsible for those injuries.
Danbury police arrested Williams on Oct. 1 for violating the conditions of his probation on unrelated charges. He was served an arrest warrant for the homicide case while in the custody of police.
Williams is currently being held on $850,000 bond.
