Although it is October, it seems like we’re moving in the wrong direction temperature-wise. Our autumn warm-up will culminate with temperatures in the low to mid 80s today. A breeze out of the west/northwest will keep temperatures nearly as warm on the shoreline as inland towns.

The record high temperature at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks is 91 degrees, and it doesn’t look like we’ll break that record. A more breakable record is Bridgeport/Sikorsky’s 83 degrees. That one may fall, but only if the wind stays from the west/northwest. Any continued sea breeze will knock those temperatures down just enough to keep Bridgeport right around 80.

Temperatures stay above average for the rest of the week (average high is 69) with a good amount of sun. By late-day Friday there may be a few showers, but nothing too heavy. This weekend looks fair at this point.

Afterwards, we may get a few heavier showers in here for next week, with Monday and Tuesday looking a bit unsettled.
