A storm located off the New England Coast will continue to slowly move away from Connecticut, allowing high pressure to dominate our weather through the rest of the week and into the weekend with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

High temperatures will be averaging in the 70s to near 80 this afternoon and in the low 80s by tomorrow. A weak cool front will move through the region with a few clouds and a wind shift that will usher in slightly cooler weather late Thursday and Friday when temperatures will cool back in the 70s.

Other than a few light showers associated with that front on Friday night, expect high pressure to continue to deliver mostly sunny skies and delightful weather conditions this weekend with no significant rainfall in sight until early next week. There are signs of a big pattern change by the middle of next week through mid-October from the current dry and mild pattern to a wet and stormy pattern that could potentially bring in some much-needed rain.

Stay tuned to the FOXCT weather team for updates on how warm it gets and the potential major pattern change in the coming days.
