HARTFORD – A water main break has closed a portion of Capitol Avenue.
The road is shut down between Hudson Street and Main Street.
Crews from the Metropolitan District Commission are working to fix the break, which happened between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Water was shut off around 7:30 a.m.
Work is expected to be completed between noon and 2 p.m. The main is about 85 years old and MDC plans to replace it.
