EAST HARTFORD – A 2-year-old boy was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car while playing with friends.
Police refused to release details of the incident Sunday other than to say that the driver of the car was cooperating and that the boy died at the hospital.
Neighbors said the incident occurred in the driveway of the home on Morris Court where the child was playing with other friends. The child was hit by an SUV that was backing out of the driveway. Police did not release any details on whether the driver lived at the home where the boy was playing.
No further details were released by police on Sunday. The incident is still under investigation.
