Lifestyle expert Limor Suss talks about what you need to know for Halloween, including the perfect costume, how to decorate your house and preparing for a big fete.
Here are some tips:
Costumes don’t have to break the bank. Use clothes and makeup you already have and create the costume with a few accessories. For example, achieve a Gatsby look by adding a feather headband and boa to a cocktail dress.
If you go the store-bought route, it’s important to make sure you’ll stay warm. Many times, these costumes are shorter or made of lighter fabric than you anticipate, so wear some fun tights to stay warm throughout the night.
Make Halloween a family affair by choosing a theme and dressing up as a group.
Use cauldrons to hold your chips and dip and other party treats. And have fun with food by making a seven-layer spider web dip and dessert graveyard to decorate the table.
For adult parties, create a “monster bar” filled with themed barware and Halloween-inspired drinks.
Let your four-legged friends in on the Halloween fun too!
