PROSPECT — A mixed-use building on Summit Road was heavily damaged by fire early Tuesday, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 2 Summit Road around 12:30 a.m. Fire officials said the building housed a doctor’s office and an apartment and two people living in the apartment were able to escape unharmed.
Fire officials believe the fire started outside the building and spread to the roof. Firefighters from several towns were called to the scene to assist in fighting the blaze. No injuries were reported.
