WATERFORD — An early morning fatal crash along I-395 closed the highway’s southbound lanes between exits 78 and 77 for several hours Thursday. The highway reopened about 7:45 a.m.
The crash was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. and initially closed the entire highway.
A tractor trailer and pickup truck collided. The pickup truck driver was fatally injured.
The northbound lanes reopened about 5 a.m.
