BRIDGEPORT — A 29-year-old Shelton man died of a gunshot wound Saturday evening, and police say an investigation into the death is ongoing.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. Police said they believe the shooting happened in the area of East Main and Spring Streets.
Officers responded to Bridgeport Hospital after a gunshot victim was reported there, and police said the victim subsequently died of his wounds.
Police said they are in the early stages of an investigation into the victim’s death.
