Deliberations are set to move into a third day in the trial of a Connecticut doctor accused of sex assault against several of his patients.
Five women testified that Dr. Tory Westbrook, 45, fondled them in the chest and lower region areas, without wearing latex gloves, during exams at the Community Health Center of Clinton.
Westbrook’s attorney argued the touching and squeezing were medically appropriate, and Westbrook is only guilty of not properly explaining what he was doing and why it was necessary.
Middlesex State’s Attorney Peter McShane said what Westbrook is accused of doing goes against established practice.
Westbrook is charged with four counts each of second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault.
