Allison Pangilinan, of the Amethyst Jeans Company, talks about her organization’s annual food drive which is taking place at a number of Big Y locations across the state in the coming weeks.
The company has been holding the drive for three years. For a $10 donation at the checkout counter, you will receive a free pair of jeans, and for every pair of jeans handed out, Amethyst will donate an additional pair to the Fashion Delivers charitable foundation.
Donations will be accepted between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at:
- Rocky Hill Big Y, 1040 Elm St., Nov. 23
- West Hartford Big Y, 772 N. Main St., Dec. 7
- Naugatuck Big Y, 85 Bridge St., Dec. 8
