Defense attorney Reese Norris joins Al and Laurie and explains why he thinks it’s not very likely that the state will retry Michael Skakel for the 1975 murder of Martha Moxley.
Skakel posted $1.2 million bail Thursday and was released from custody. According to the Hartford Courant’s David Owens’ article, Judge Gary White set bail after a hearing Thursday morning at Superior Court. Skakel’s conviction was vacated and a new trial ordered last month.
White ordered Skakel to remain in the state of Connecticut, have a GPS monitoring device affixed to his ankle, check in twice a month with a bail commissioner and have no contact with the Moxley family.
