EAST WINDSOR — Local and state police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in his Stoughton Road home Tuesday.
Police were called to the home Tuesday after a neighbor reported a bad smell.
Police responded and found the decomposing body of a man. They then obtained a search warrant to search the home for evidence.
East Windsor police asked for state police Central District Major Crime Squad detectives to collect evidence at the home.
The cause of death of the man will not be known until an autopsy is performed.
Police are not sure whether they are dealing with a death by natural causes or a crime.
Officials said the man was in his 50s.
