Devon Glover, aka “The Sonnet Man,” talks about how he uses rap and Shakespeare to teach children.

The Sonnet Man sets Shakespeare’s love of sonnets to hop hop. Conceived and produced by Broadway playwright Arje Shaw, The Sonnet Man brings Shakespeare to young audiences in a genre they know and love. Through hip hop, Shakespeare will become exciting and fun, introducing young people to classical literature, raising literacy, improving communication, greater enthusiasm for learning, increased creativity, raised confidence and setting a foundation for appreciation of the arts.

Glover’s work has been featured on “The Today Show” and received a tremendous national response. He tours the country bringing his message to students and adults alike.
