There were about 15,000 runners and walkers who participated in the 4.748 mile race on a sunny but chilly and windy day.
Sam Chelanga of Kenya won his first Manchester Road Race, finishing in 21 minutes, 31 seconds. Alice Kamunya of Kenya was the women’s winner in 25:07.
