‘Tis the season for giving, and the Connecticut Lottery was giving away chances to become the state’s next multi-millionaire.
People lined up at lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to receive a free, $1, Mega Millions ticket. The jackpot was at $425 million so the lottery gave away 425 tickets.
They were all “Quickpicks,” and that made the line move quickly.
Mark Thompson felt good about his chances of winning. When asked where he was from, Thompson said, “Hartford, I’ll be from Fairfield County on Tuesday.”
