HARTFORD — Police are investigating two weekend double-shootings, a Sunday night shooting near Park Street and a home invasion-style attack in the North End the night before.

About 9:30 p.m. Sunday, two men were shot in the area of 173 Babcock St., just off Park Street. One was shot in the buttocks and the other in the arm, Lt. Brian Foley said Monday morning. Neither wound was believed to be life-threatening, he said.

The shooting appears to be related to an ongoing domestic dispute, he said.

Saturday night’s shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. while two men were sitting in the living room at 68 Boothbay St. in the North End, police said.

Two masked men came into the home and demanded money, they said. One started firing a handgun, and the occupants — who ran to different parts of the home and hid -— were shot.

One, a 30-year-old, was wounded on his lower left leg and the other, a 28-year-old, on his abdomen and upper left thigh. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

The suspects fled the scene. They were described as about 5 feet 6 inches, and 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Courant Staff Writer Christine Dempsey contributed to this report.
