After a warm start to the workweek with highs in the 50s Monday, winter has returned. Temperatures will crash overnight, turning wet roads to icy roads. This isn’t record cold. Nor will the overnight temps compare to the chill from Friday night into Saturday morning. But it will still feel pretty brutal at the bus stop Tuesday morning with wind chills ranging from minus -20 to minus-5. High temperatures will be in the teens with sub zero wind chills all day. Temperatures will slowly rebound this week. Winter sports enthusiasts will not like the forecast for this weekend with high temperatures in the 40s and periods of rain on Saturday. The rollercoaster ride continues. That’s nothing new for us here in New England.
