ShopRite is recalling all of its store-made ground meat produced and sold between 6-11 a.m. Saturday.

The meat was sold at the 214 Spencer St. store and there is a possibility that it may contain small pieces of the black tray liner pad. No other meat products sold at ShopRite are affected by this recall, store officials said.

“We are advising customers who purchased any of these products at the ShopRite of Manchester to return them for an immediate refund or replacement,” ShopRite spokesperson Karen Meleta said. “Although this may not cause an immediate health risk if ingested, we wanted to alert the public so appropriate steps can be taken.”

No issues were reported to the store late Saturday and store officials said it was “an isolated incident” and affects only the ShopRite of Manchester. Customers should check the labels of any ground meat products they may have purchased from this store. Customers should return any affected products for a full refund or replacement.

Meleta said the company has reached out to its ShopRite “Price Plus Club” customers who purchased the meat to alert them to the recall over the phone or with an email. Customer questions or concerns can be directed to 1-800-746-7748.
