AVON — A 51-year-old doctor was arrested this week on charges that he sexually assaulted two patients at his practice at 35 Nod Road, police said.

Khosro Pourkavoos of Avon was charged on Wednesday with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

He was released after posting $150,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 5 at Superior Court in Hartford.

Avon police began investigating in June after a woman complained that Pourkavoos sexually assaulted her during medical office visits, police said.

A second victim was located after information was found on the internet, police said. The woman provided police with a sworn statement alleging that she was sexually assaulted during medical office visits, police said.

Frankly I am not sure what happened, but what I can tell you that I have know this doctor for 5+ years and he is always the most professional carrying doctor. My wife also has seen him multiply times and nothing out of the ordinary happened. So I would say let us keep our options open.
