Defensive tackle Terrance Knighton has taken on a leadership role in his first season with the Denver Broncos and will be a big key against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. A 6-foot-3, 335-pound key.

The Super Bowl will, of course, be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., not far from where he grew up. He played football at Windsor High School.

Knighton was drafted in the third round out of Temple by Jacksonville in 2009 and played four seasons with the Jaguars before signing with the Broncos as a free agent before this season.

Knighton, who grew up a Patriots fan, played a major role in knocking the Patriots out of the playoffs. He sacked Tom Brady on fourth down late in the AFC Championship Game, clinching the Broncos’ victory.
